Megan Whitmarsh Feature by TheCreativeLives
The unique artist from California, Megan Whitmarsh, recently got together with TheCreativeLives for a short interview. Megan uses thread to create complex characters, routed in fantasy and social anxiety. She draws inspiration from 1980’s American pop culture, also sourcing wild imagery from her intricate imagination.
Mrs Whitmarsh is also an accomplished soft sculptor, she created a mountain of replica trash which she found in her neighborhood. In this feature below we get to know Megan and travel along as she paints a massive 55 x 60 installation at the prestigious IVAM Museum in Valencia, Spain.
