Fletcher Brothers Michael and Christian Teamed up together in this project, with the aim of showing their audience the true capabilities of the Canon 5D Mk II. Filmed entirely in one location, West Kimberly they bring us an entire quantative array of quality images, both moving and still that are simply breathtaking.
Make no bones about it, the MkII is a fantastic piece of kit and with 21 megapixels to play with its every passionate photographers dream, but Michael and Christian really do harness the abilities of the MkII and channel it exquisitly.
Most of the footage and stills used were taken on a recent trip, alonside added clips the brothers had created on a previous trip. Once again they were treated to the splendor of the Kimberley and the magnificent True North and it’s amazing crew. If you want to follow the adventures of True North look up Mark
Equipment used in this piece includes :
2 x 5D Mk2, Canon 16-35mm f/2.8, 24mm f/1.4, 50mm f/1.2, 85mm f/1.2, 400mm f/5.6, TS-E 17mm f/4, 100mm Macro f/2.8, Manfrotto T/Pod, Monopod, Millars DS10, Rode mic’s, MacBook Pro, Lee Filter kits, Grads, polarizers etc.
On a personal level, this was a really intesting piece for me as I have been looking into upgrading my camera for some time now. The Mk II had really caught my eye, as im sure it had many other eager photographers. I had just about convinced myself to settle for a lesser spec camera and this piece comes along and really leaves me in a hard place. – If only money did grow on trees, for now i will have to admire from the audience.
