Short Film From Lego Click
Posted by Daniel Benning on January 27, 2010 at 10:11 am in art, designShort lighthearted film from the creative production people over at lego, this piece has been created to inspire and celebrate new ideas & projects while entertaining its viewer through the medium of lego. Its plot entales of a male designer who has reached the point of no ideas, just as he is giving up he gets inspired by previous designs shown to him in the form of lego bricks, merging two ideas into one he creates his new project. This piece is based around flight and flying machines as the designer here is trying to create something unique in this area, Lego Click have just launched this new campaign to promote creativity and have released a hand full of similar pieces that are worth a look if you like to smile. I tend to stray away from commercial advertisements in my posts as I prefer to support either those on the way up, or unique innovative pieces, however this piece had a great message behind it, and to be perfectly honest I grew up with Lego so I was always going to back this if it was good. Im a big fan of the stop animation sections in this piece, and the coinciding sound effects these work very effective, we also see a commendable combination of acting and animation which I always think is a hard thing to combine, so well done to those over at Lego involved. If you like this piece and would like to see more productions from the series you can access these though the lego site which I will link below.
“Ever wonder where big ideas come from? If you’re a fan of LEGO bricks, eureka moments, or guys with odd mustaches, you really should see this. Great ideas just CL!CK”
