Swarm By Alvaro Tapia Hidalgo

One of two creators involved in Monomov design agency based centrally to Valparaiso Alvaro Tapia Hidalgo is an experienced professional in both the fields of Design and Film. As a multitalented creative Alvaro transferred his experience into education in 2004 and began teaching in various establishments of higher education, Today he brings us this short visual pleasing piece of production crafted using semetrical objects and a vibrant backdrop. I like how Alvaro has transformed the everyday movement of individuals into a moving artwork which is a real treat for the eyes, the silhouetted characters work well as a collective of persons to create one lively light hearted visual works. As director and post producer of short films, commercials and video clips, he has been a scriptwriter and director of two short films in 16mm film: Cut Butcher (2004) and Cabezón Informer (2008) and director of more than a dozen of audiovisual works and experimental animation. His visual works have been exhibited in various festivals, exhibitions and TV shows in Chile, Argentina, Venezuela, Canada and Spain.
