This May Hurt Exhibition by Michael Peck

These images below and above are featured in an exhibition at the Metro Gallery titled This May Hurt by Michael Peck.

Michael creates through his paintings the sensation of disorientation and dislocation that is often felt within the post modern world. His work particularly focuses on the effects within minority groups and individuals existing on the fringe who are challenged to assimilate within the larger community.

Usually you will find his pieces are quiet, participants are paused as they stand withdrawn, overwhelmed by mass culture and have a great uncertainty of belonging.

But somehow, even with all this emotion and drama, Mr Peck creates stunning pop type work that is beautifully detailed and intricately drawn. If i had the money, i would definitely buy some pieces of work from him.

This exhibition runs till the 23rd of May, catch it whilst you can. If you aren’t that lucky, check out the images below.
