A Selection of Outerwear from Japanese Label kolor

Japanese brand kolor isn’t really a company that I’m experienced with, I’ve seen their stuff crop up over a few seasons but nothing has enticed me as such. It could be because of the way they present themselves through their lookbooks and promotional material, I see it as a higher end brand who plays on different colours and likes to jazz up the clothing. Usually I prefer the functional aspects although aesthetic does play a big part too but this morning when I came across the Silver and Gold website again the individual pieces that they had picked up from kolor was just to my liking. It’s interesting how one store can pick out certain items and it can really fit into the overall brand selection, giving it a whole new lease of life. So I decided to collect up some imagery from their website to showcase the nice detailing and also the fabric choices, particularly in the outerwear range.
Even though we have a mixture of clothing from the Fall 2011 and Spring 2011 collections I still thought it was quite a nice selection that was worth rounding up. For example the cotton duffle coat (seen below) which has a removable fleece liner and heavy duty toggles. Also the Russell jacket (shown above) that features a shawl collar with a unique texture made of warm wool, perfect I think for when the winter weather starts to die down. Anyways, I hope you enjoy these separate pieces, you can find out more by clicking the links below and heading towards the Silver and Gold website.
