Barena, Haversack & Yuketen Spring/Summer 2012 Pitti Uomo Preview

It’s always nice to get some previews of what’s to come from the labels that we admire, I’ve been keeping an eye out and these three brands stood out from the pack at Pitti Uomo for SS12. Barena, Haversack and Yuketen.
Barena were a nice choice and align with our earlier post this week that showcased the fall/winter 2011 collection. The spring 2012 range looks to build on what they’ve released previously, maybe a bit more rugged than what I’m used to and you can definitely see lots of workwear type elements.
Haversack are another brand that I’m tied to and I’m usually on the look out for new stuff from this discreet label, so it was a nice surprise to find the odd item shot from Pitti Uomo. These prints seen on a shirt and blazer down below offer a brighter aesthetic, but knowing Haversack they’ve definitely thrown in a fair few staple items as well.
A surprise appearance was Yuketen and their shoe collection. These guys got innovative with the etchings on the upper and also the colouring of the leather, I particularly like the idea of a toggle in-between the laces. I’ve not seen that before.
Anyways, you can enjoy some of my favourite shots below. If you’ve got some spare time on your hands I would also reccomend checking out an interview with Haversack designer Koji Norihide by Selectism.

This is the type of shoe Carly Simon had in mind when she wrotes “You walked into the party like you were walking onto a yacht ” In fact nice shoes but why does everything at pitty looks so 20th century. Ask yourself what did fashion do for you this year. What has 2012 to offer that is has not been seen before and is acceptable to become mainstream or even typical 2012 . I hope you won’t tell flowerprinted golfbags
