Menswear Illustrations by John Woo

This morning I decided to round up this great collection of work by Hong Kong based designer and illustrator John Woo. This young man has been plastered all over the web, and rightfully deserved because he has a very individual style, one that you don’t see floating around all too often.
Usually I’m a bit frustrated when you know something is very popular and it’s been talked about many times before but I thought the subject of the illustrations, for example Junya Watanabe, Comme des Garcons, and Band of Outsiders, really fit into the schedule and runs in line with what we talk about on a day to day basis.
Based on fictional characters and mainly highlighted for his Star Wars renditions, John Woo looks to present outfits from different seasons in a quirky and funny medium. The illustrations would be fantastic on their own but to mix it with well known labels and menswear brands, pretty genius if you ask me. One of the main reasons I thought of showcasing these was because you can now purchase prints at John’s Etsy shop, definitely worth heading that way to check them out. Could look great hanging on a wall. I’ve placed some of my favourites above and below.
