Raleigh Denim Captured by Nick Pironio

Raleigh Denim have been working hard to merge themselves into the so called “fashion world”, showcasing their first ever collection during a presentation at New York Fashion Week. Although some may throw a frown at this, I’ve actually been watching quite intently from the sidelines as they’ve gathered interest from fashion buyers and press alike. I like the fact that they’re spreading the word about their clothing and the story that’s behind them, I think it would be a damn shame to waste it!
So even though we’ve covered these guys for many years I thought it would be cool to showcase some imagery that I found through Nick Pironio’s page, a photographer and friend of the Raleigh owners. He’s been documenting the brand in this little set of his titled “Raleigh Denim” which is an ongoing series and is sure to expand over time. Nick gets a fascinating insight into the ongoings of the brand and also behind the scenes, I absolutely adore the last image which says “Design like you give a damn!”, wise words my friends.
Obviously, I have only picked out only a small selection of photos from the vast selection available on Nick’s website so it might be a good idea to head that way for more. Whilst you’re there why not have a browse through his other work which is also really great, I can’t wait to see where he goes with this specific series on Raleigh. At the moment it mainly focuses on the owners but I think it could delve deeper into the factory and the workshop, also their fellow workers who make the jeans and their stories. If you’ve got a spare 8 minutes, watch this “show video” by Nick which has no sound but gives you an idea of the inner workings of the company on film.
