Taylor Supply Fall/Winter 2011 Collection Lookbook

This is the third season that we’ve covered Taylor Supply, and I don’t think I’ve ever been disappointed. This one luckily and also relevantly comes right on cue for the winter months. I’ve been pretty excited to see what owner Christophe has in store for us as they embark on an online retail venture, much like ourselves, after shutting down their website for a good six months due to rebranding. It was definitely worth the wait though and I think has improved their like-ability tenfold, if not more. The logo looks very sharp and the overall branding looks slightly more consistent.

Although all these other changes have enhanced the clothing in some way or another, the quality of the products themselves has always been top notch. Everything is designed and produced exclusively in New York City, drawing inspiration from iconic clothing created from the 1930’s to the 1950’s. Some keywords that come to mind are ruggedness, minimalism, durability, and functionality, all relate well.

This specific lookbook is a great example of theming and also offers a nice look at the actual pieces of clothing, something you don’t always see in lookbooks. Usually they are knee deep in creativity and forget the whole point of a ‘lookbook’ as such. Although I’ve showcased a nice round up of imagery here this is definitely one that you might want to see over on the brand new Taylor Supply website.
