ts(s) Fall/Winter 2011 Collection Lookbook

ts(s) offer us an exclusive preview of their fall/winter 2011 collection in the form of a lookbook. This season capitalises on the last one which included a nice array of textured garments, as we know from our interview with Takuji Suzuki that he prefers to call himself a textile designer.
The outerwear and shirting looks particularly good and could be seen in plenty a mans wardrobe. I prefer to see these pieces up close and in real time, but for now, view this preview below.

Really tired of the designers revisiting old catalogues and rehashing old workwear and old mens casual looks to simulate fashion. These pieces look like costumes from a farm shop. I am sure the tailoring and fabrications are great but im a little over these ideas…
This is a really good example of the nonsensical commoditization of frumpy “heritage” work-wear. If one is not a longshoreman from the 50s, or employed doing odd jobs on a Russian oil rig, one should not dress like this. I dub this look- hobo-sheik. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to put on a burlap overcoat and some cotton-duck over-alls, I promised the farmer down the road that I’d paint his chicken coup in exchange for a warm place to sleep.
