Mixed Imagery by David Meskhi

Born in Tbilisi, Georgia, now residing in Berlin, Germany, David Meskhi is a photographer that has really captured the imagination of a wide audience. His flickr account is beaming with comments and likes, and now he’s took this in the real world as well with his works being showcased at all sorts of events and galleries.

It’s well deserved really, these are just a handful of random images that I’ve selected from his perfectly curated portfolio which you can see in full by clicking the link below. David is very good at capturing individuals and giving his own twist on portraiture. Most of his subjects are young individuals and he somehow lets all their imperfections shine through, very playful indeed. You are sure to enjoy these, scroll down for more.

I first encountered David’s work at Tiny Vices. I was particularily struck by a group of photographs taken of young soldiers. Their weapons were at ready position in some of these photos, and I’ve always wanted to know where they were taken and what was happening. In one shot a soldier is looking out a doorway and the other is looking directly into the camera. The captured expressions are intense. Like his work very much.
