A Detailed Look at the Dana Lee Spring/Summer 2012 Collection
We have been patiently anticipating our first shipment of Dana Lee in the office, it seems like a distant memory now when we were first placing the spring/summer order. I guess we aren’t accustom to the cycle of the industry just yet but this wait was all forgotten once the Dana Lee collection arrived at our door. The fabrics and detailing got us all really excited to get these online, especially given Dana had slipped under the net in the UK thus far.
Luckily enough we were able to make some connections with Dana two years ago when we interviewed her for the blog. Discussing her whole ethos with us got both of us really inspired, she wasn’t like other designers we’d come across outside of our blog. She really cared for the design process and her vision of what she believed the modern gentleman should be wearing was something we wanted to incorporate into our own shop.
It’s a real pleasure to be working with individuals that put such a premise on quality, we were blown away by the work of Frank Leder and now with Dana Lee it’s refreshing to see another individual who takes both material and craftsmanship to various levels beyond the norm. Personally I can’t wait to see the fall/winter collection from Dana as the outerwear we’ve picked up for this season is some of the best we’ve got our hands on, the Formica work coat is a big favourite in the office and I’m a little disappointed it’s not sitting in my wardrobe this season.
I guess you win some you lose some, we hope that these detail shots below will give you all an idea of what you will be getting for your money if you choose to shop Dana Lee with us this season.
