Tembea are a brand we’ve been following through the blog for a number of years now and consider them to be massively underrated here in Europe, so as a means to tackle this we took our latest selection from the shop out and about to give them the showcase they deserve. One of the stand out features of their bags is they all have such great durability with the heavy duty canvas they are constructed out of, and the paraffin based wax that covers each outer surface.

The Japanese brand take great pride in the lifespan of their products with each embracing the Japanese concept of “Wabi Sabi” where an item is cherished for the ageing process that takes place within the canvas, shaping and moulding to the movements of it’s owner.

These simplistic designs are therefore merely a canvas waiting to be transformed, with leather components darkening in colour and canvas softening up and taking on a new patina.
