A Conversation With Jean Touitou of A.P.C.

Just by writing this post i am contradicting what is said by Jean Touitou in this video interview below. The A.P.C. founder gets things off his chest, ranging from topics such as inspiration to blogging and the media itself.

I agree with him in some ways about the state of the internet, many people want filters on sites to sieve out bad content.

But the main point here is that it’s a place to showcase work that wouldn’t have been seen otherwise. Your bound to get bad content and good content, but the main community of sites who are trusted and viewed by many shift through to show the light.

If Mr Touitou was to start all over again how would he market himself? Exactly my point.

Additional Info:

I found this interesting comment left by Clinton on A continuous Lean, seemed to kind of sum up what i was thinking.

“I am an artist and I have been painting for over 20 years, so I appreciate the comment about workmanship / time. What I found strange was the “blog” comment. I respect the notion that people should not steal other’s work, but the today’s media has left us with very few “quality” options. The media is owned by large corporations, which typically block the small “craft” businesses from gaining public attention. I am happy that blogs have the opportunity to do this. I still love APC and I appreciate the work you do.” – Clinton
