I remember saying a while back about the Pointer Desert Boots, which i kind of promoted (not because they asked me to), just because of the silhouette and materials.

These MacAlister Boots from J.Crew come close to comparison, i probably like these better than the suede ones in fact. They provide a worn in look, which you can’t go wrong with, especially with a simple button up and some chino’s. This is the sort of shoe that will get better with time, an all weather boot if you like.

They were inspired by the crepe-soled boots worn by British officers in WWII, made from Italian oiled leather, cotton laces, natural eyelets and rubber sole.
