Fall / Folk / Fare Posters By Derek Chan

Graphic Designer working out of Seattle Derek Chan brings us this collection of minimalistic posters created for fictional indie folk music series. I never lead with the intention of promoting anything other than creative innovation so was relieved to find out this wasn’t an actual event, the project before us however processes a style that always seems to grab me. I love this clean vivid look and to be honest, it doesn’t really matter what its promoting to me its captivating design. This nominal look was created using rives grey cotton rag paper with deckled edges to create a worn out aesthetic which each one measuring 13 by 19 centimetres in size. The series would have taken place in New York City and would feature the bands Blitzen Trapper, Andrew Bird, and Monsters of Folk, you can’t actually attend this though, well except for in your mind. Look out for more of Derek Chan in the future, he doesn’t currently have his own site, however Im sure it won’t be too soon until he does with work of this quality.
