New York Street Animals From Julian Hibbard

Thirty something London photographer Julian Hibbard brings us this unusual collection of images documenting coin operated rides on the streets of Manhattan. Julians enigmatic images reflect his interest in storytelling, memory, dreams, film and the altering eye of the camera. His photography has been exhibited in London, Scotland, Santiago de Chile and Los Angeles. In the collection we see before us I was fascinated by the vintage feel to the crafted characters, The black backdrop really brings out the color in these pieces and they just provide something different to the mix. Julian has exhibited his previous at the prestigious Fundacin RAC Gallery in Pontevedra, Northern Spain. Most recently, in December 2009, Julian particapted in a charity group show with View Imaging at 401 Projects in NYC.
