Sculptures by Jared Pankin

I just came across this great sculptor called Jared Pankin, whose work shown here was exhibited at the Carl Berg Gallery.

The basis of his work involves tiny chipped pieces of wood, in which he creates and builds fantasies from. These then come to life by mixing in worldly objects, seen here is mainly taxidermy ie. fox, goat etc.

“He forces his forms to canter crazily over voids, spiral endlessly skywards, and just constantly defy the solid stolidity and logic that, in art at least, tends to be the hallmark of natural forms.”
