Imagery from Andrea Brugi

Floating around the web last night I stumbled across these great rustic looks from carpenter and all round creative Andrea Brugi, who has been kind enough to share a little behind the scenes of his working world. Browsing through these it quickly became evident how much Andrea lives and breathes a creative lifestyle, which could be described as a bohemian alternative to the traditional way of living.

I think what’s most impressive about Andrea’s space is how in touch with nature the place actually is, which is something reflected the whole way through his home as well as his working life. Take the handcrafted chopping boards above as an example, which couldn’t be more natural. Their individual imperfections provide such beauty making Andrea’s creations very wabi sabi, which is a Japanese concept we both find very endearing here on the site.

The Italian is known for his range of household wooden items although he has been said to dabble in a little furniture for those that wish to make a request for his one a kind creations. Hopefully these will get you a little inspired to either get out and create something of your own or to go support Andrea or a similar artisan.
