New in the Shop – Cutlery Sets Designed by Ruka Kikuchi of Lue Brass

I have spent the best part of 5 years pondering a way in which we can bring craft to more people. Searching for small avenues in the shop where we can place more industrial products, or to find a way to mix industrial design and craft to highlight the skills of a craftsman. It’s an ongoing pursuit that is sure to keep me occupied for a lifetime.

Japanese metalworker Ruka Kikuchi of Lue Brass used his knowledge as a metalworker to produce these sets of cutlery stamped from one sheet of brass. Thanks to the fewer processes Ruka’s hope was to reach more people through good design and the perspective of a craftsman.

Currently all pieces can only be purchased in sets and will be sent directly from Ruka’s studio in Japan. We hope to start selling them separately very soon, so keep your eyes peeled for that!
