Writing on the blog for more than 10 years it’s natural for me to see the progression of some of the maker’s work, not just the ones represented in our shop but also globally. One that I came across in 2013/2014 was the work of Kenny Son who is based in Sydney, Australia.
Since that time I’ve kept in touch with Kenny and we’re now proud to present some of his unique objects in our shop. His style has changed over time but he’s always been one for introducing modern ideas in to his craft and experimenting with various techniques. He’s a young maker who knows how to mix classic metalworking techniques with a unique, contemporary style.
Take for example his Tea Canisters that are traditional in shape but have a Bauhaus orientated style to them. Or the Brass staircase paperweight that would surely be striking on any desk. His works are now available online in our shop.
