It’s exciting when designers who don’t necessarily have the practical skills to produce something themselves, but who have a keen eye for what looks good and what the market needs, collaborate with makers who have the experience and techniques necessary to bring these ideas to fruition.
That’s exactly what happened with PLYWOOD laboratory, a project between long-established plywood manufacturer Takizawa Plywood in Hokkaido and Japanese design studios FULLSWING and DRILL.
Both sets of designers have worked closely with the makers at Takizawa to make the most of this special material that they invented titled ‘Paper Wood’ that uses recycled paper sandwiched between plywood to leave these stunning colour patterns.
We are now working with PLYWOOD laboratory to showcase their full range at OEN. Place your order and have these wonderful works shipped directly to your door.
