Lights by Mark Borthwick

Mark Borthwick is said to be one of the most influential alternative fashion photographers of our time and was a defining photographer of the 90’s. He’s helped magazines such as Purple, Self Service and AnOther bridge the gap between art and fashion, something that we see a lot of in the market today.

This is a selection of his photography that really inspired me from a series titled Lights. There’s a beautiful array of 35mm film imagery all containing some amazing light, hence the name, and also have a natural element involved, which as you know is right up our alley. Mr Borthwick is also known for integrating elements of architecture and design and has a very distinguished style, overexposing film to certain degrees. I urge you to admire the work that we have here and also take a look at his other photography on Mark’s website. You are sure to enjoy it.
