The Natural Speaker by Studio Joon&Jung

Another hands on post where we present some sort of craft, this time by studio Joon&Jung, a conceptual product design studio based in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. The idea of this project titled “The Natural Speaker” derives from the desire to create a unique handcrafted speaker for the interior space. Both Joon & Jung have worked hard on the actual sound in which the speaker produces, during the development stages they discovered the great properties of porcelain as a speaker casing, it produced a perfect mellow sound which had a natural vibe and ambiance.

Obviously we can’t hear the sound ourselves, unless you buy one of course, but this video below really sets the product off nicely and shows the production by hand, by who, and also puts across the “natural” feeling. Available to watch below.
