Photography by Frank Beier

Some fantastic photography by Frank Beier who is currently based in Berlin, Germany. I had a quick browse at Franks portfolio website, and he had a little bio written in German, so i did my best to convert it for you all.

He says he uses photography as a form of communication, an exploration of the landscape, nature, and people. Mainly using it to look back and appreciate moments in life, a reason to pause and contemplate on the world.

I actually really like the last sentence, i think it sums up photography in general. You get a feeling of freedom and discovery at the same time, tapping into the creative side of your brain.

The tones on these photographs are especially beautiful, using texture and light to his advantage. I decided to showcase my favourites, but i thought if you guys wanted to view more you can head over to his flickr page. Check it out below.
