Unpredictable Surfaces – Functional Ceramics by Potter Mayumi Yamashita
In ceramics the glazes tend to shine as they react with the clay and heat, but I enjoyed these tones created by Mayumi Yamashita, also the techniques she has used to create contrast in the surfaces.

Yumiko Yasufuku is trained as an interior designer but later went on to make pottery as a hobby, which is now her full-time job, making rustic but contemporary pottery out of her studio in Gifu city.
