Many Steps by Takayuki Akachi

Takayuki Akachi specialises in a “lone backpacker” style of filming that requires no film crew, as a result of this he has been able to shoot top quality footage in over 60 countries. He still continues to film people all over the world, and traveling has even let him create this piece that you can see below titled Many Steps.

Many Steps is an artistic documentation with the concept being that he has collected and captured steps from all over the world.

“All of us breathe in the same air and step on the same ground”

It’s a great piece that’s somehow fascinating to watch all the way through, even though it’s only peoples feet half the time. Onitsuka Tiger were a collaborator in this piece and I’m really liking the small entities in which they are supporting, all these different cultures and happy faces are sure to put a smile on your face. Watch on.
