Artist Jason LaFerrera
Jason LaFerrera is currently based in New York City, but grew up in Richmond, VA. His career began as a music producer, performer and recording engineer, but now mainly dabbles in art.
Jason uses old maps, manipulating them into birds and other animals, usually capturing poses reminiscent of field guides from a similarly early era of publication. The patterns of forests and shores often become an animal’s feathers or fur, while the rings of topography often trace out wings or antlers.
His first show will commence in July 2010, in his home town, so if your around i recommend checking it out.
