Light and Form – Prints by Julian Abrams & Sophie Elizabeth-Thompson

Any creative output is our inner self wishing to put something out in to the world. A physical manifestation of something that we see in our mind’s eye. So what’s better than two creative minds coming together to showcase something completely new! Here photographer Julian Abrams has collaborated with sculptor Sophie Elizabeth-Thompson to craft this beautiful series of prints.

Abrams focused on their shared interest in light and form when capturing this series, looking to reduce Thompson’s sculpture from three dimensional to two, also adding some visual tension thanks to the juxtaposition of the forms. By placing them together there’s a sense of overlapping, with the light hitting the contours of the sculpture which add a sense of poetry to the pieces. Add in the simplified tonal palette and you have some wonderful prints that are sure to capture the imagination and inspire.
