Craft Design Technology, Japan

Craft Design Technology, a stationary label hailing from Japan, have been on my radar for a little while, ever since Winkreative provided creative direction across all aspects of the business, including brand name, logo and overall corporate identity. You can definitely see the Monocle type theme running throughout, that’s not a bad thing though, I think it lends itself well to what they are trying to achieve.

CDT believes in bringing the three disciplines that are tied to its name together, evolving design through the use of craft and technology. Creating physical objects that are not only beautiful but also fully functional and long lasting. You don’t often see their product sold outside of Japan, but I’ve caught wind of some new stockists arriving in America and Europe, so watch out for them as they expand.
