SUPERLIGHT – Furniture by Atelier Ferraro
Atelier Ferraro, a design studio based in Munich specialises in the production of visually engaging, intuitive design objects.
Head designer Emanuele Ferraro studied architecture in Italy and Greece, later moving to Germany where he worked for a series of prominent architecture firms. After focusing on the design details of office and showroom interiors it allowed him to further develop his enthusiasm for furniture and objects. Today we see the result of his hard work and dedication.
I am especially fond of the SUPERLIGHT series (seen above) that’s been crafted using strategically placed screws that hold tensioned sheet metal in perfect stillness. An opening is then lasered into the metal to reveal a wonderful elegance and gives each piece a sculptural quality.
