Organic Dimension – Paintings & Drawings by Garance Vallée
The great thing about painting is not necessarily the aesthetic beauty, although this is obviously a factor when judging a piece, it’s also about visualisation and seeing things from a different perspective. Everything can be seen as a stepping stone in life. A building block that can push us forward and discover more about ourselves and our approach.
I really enjoyed stumbling in to the work of Garance Vallée, a French creative who has a youthful and eclectic style. Using objects, mobiles, and furniture she is able to depict these forms in an experimental way. Distorting and manipulating so as to give her own take on what an interior could or would be from her mind’s eye. A whimsical world of sorts.
There’s also an architectural element to these. This matches up with her initiation in to the art world at an early age by her mother and painter father. Vallée also studied as an architect and this led her in to the world of stylised interiors, sculpture and design objects. I am in awe of the wonderful worlds that she has fabricated full of imaginative design and creativity. What a great world it must be inside the mind of Garance Vallée!
