Beekeeping In New York City From Adrian Bautisa

Back with the bees again, this time around Filmmaker Adrian Bautista brings us this insightful short documentary piece which investigates a little into the active beekeeping community in New York City. Adrian introduces us to Tim ONeal creator of educational blog “Borough Bees” with novice beekeeper Kazumi Terada also talking a little on how she first stumbled into this past time.

If you’d like to learn a little more about the process of keeping bees I’d really recommend stopping at Tim’s site for a browse, the high res imagery really does help the learning process and it certainly gives you an easier understanding of what’s involved.

I have to say I’ve always been interested in the self sustainable lifestyle, so naturally the idea of keeping bees and harvesting your own honey is quite appealing to me. When I get a spare moment I think I’l to sit down and plan the introduction of my own hive, it seems quite attractive and addictive.
