New at OEN – Ceramics by Fumihiro Toda

Today we showcase this awesome pottery by Japanese artist Fumihiro Toda that’s in our shop. Residing in Tokorozawa, a small city in Saitama, Toda spent most of his early years in Gifu studying under a talented potter in this area.

Fumihiro Toda’s work combines both a rustic clay body with a matte white glaze that coats the surface very thinly. This leads to the clay colour bleeding through to create an interesting mix of contemporary and rustic.
