The Earl Series — Furniture Collection for Piaval with Fabrica by Daniel Rous

There’s a saying that will never leave me, “persistence is resistance”. In my opinion it’s something that all good creatives have, that ability to take a non-resistant stance and push through even when obstacles are in the way. The older I get the more I realise it’s all about not giving up and problem solving, if you can channel both on a daily basis it will really show in your work.

I bumped in to the portfolio of British furniture designer Daniel Rous and one of his series really inspired me, the Earl collection. The furniture consists of a three piece collection and is simple and understated, made by Piaval but designed by Daniel himself with help of the design studio at Fabrica in Italy, where he is currently working.

This collection is nice in construction and is very easy on the eye, which are all positives, but I enjoyed scrolling through his portfolio to see the pictures that have been taken inside the workshop and how the furniture has been constructed. Not only that, but importantly the prototypes that were made in 2015 that show the years of hard work needed to get this piece on to the market. Here are a few pictures from his portfolio, but I don’t want to take away from his portfolio so please go on to his website via the link below to see the collection in more detail and support his work. I hope you enjoy them and I can’t wait to see what else he designs in the near future.
