Hallo Work Light by 45KILO Designs

I’m finding quite regularly now that I go searching for one particular medium and end up finding an alternative that catches my interest instead. This happened earlier when I went about searching for an architectural project, I landed upon the page of Philipp Schopfer and Daniel Klapsing who are two designers responsible for the 45 Kilo design studio, with their latest creation the “Hallo” series really resonating with me. What I love about this …

Tekio by Anthony Dickens

We now move our attention towards an English based designer who has undertaken a project influenced by the design style of Japan, so something that feels quite at home in our archive. Given our admiration for the Japanese style we can be rather predictable with our content sometimes, although we have been quite good lately so I don’t feel all that guilty for sharing this project today. I felt this was worth making an exception to the rule however, as the project made me begin to consider the challenges faced by the designers in hotter climates so hopefully it …

Selection of Furniture from Superfolk

I’m not sure how popular Makers and Brothers has become, but personally I’ve really enjoyed seeing their vision unfold as they bring the world Irish made objects that are simple, beautiful and sometimes very quirky. If you’ve not made a visit to their web shop yet I’d really recommend making the click across soon. Their store is actually how I came across the designers we’re sharing here today, “Super Folk” who are a Dublin based inde …

Melvin the Mini Machine by HEYHEYHEY

Say hello to Dutch collective HeyHeyHey and their latest project which is a Rube Golberg machine designed to entertain, amuse and inspire. Melvin the Machine is in fact a development of a smaller scale to previous Mevlin’s the team has built, with this edition being delicately constructed inside of two suitcases. On the surface these are really lighthearted and fun but when you stop and think about the design of a contraption like this you …
